I received some good guest feedback from Mr Roger Paine this morning, whilst I was chatting to him in the front lounge (I was enquiring if he was OK or needed anything).
He advised that he was waiting for a taxi after checking out and that everything was fine, as usual. He had been coming to WLP for 35 years and always had a lovely stay, commenting in particular on high standards and the quiet location. He also likes the longevity of staff members and impact this has on his service e.g. when Lubi and Anthony see him at breakfast, they already know whether to bring him tea or coffee without him asking etc.
He always choses to stay here, even if working in Central London; he would rather stay at WLP (where he is guaranteed to have a nice stay) and travel into town, than stay in a more central City hotel.
I just wanted to pass on the nice feedback to you and the team.

Thank you for making us feel so welcome particularly as we were going through a very stressful time with our home repairs and, as most of you later found out, our preparations for our wedding day on 27th August as well!!
You are all so friendly and welcoming, which made our stay here so lovely and comfortable from the beginning.
It has been a pleasure to get to know most of you and seeing your familiar faces every day. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay than at the West Lodge for these last 3½ months.
Thank you for the excellent service in the evenings. Everything on the bar menu tastes great!!! All our best wishes for the future.

I know your email address is provided primarily for those customers that wish to complain and I should be addressing the general manager for any thanks to your staff that are due but I wanted to come to you directly.
I stayed at your West Lodge Park Hotel ( as I will be frequently from now until xmas) this week on Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday morning I, in my hotel room, couldn't find a diamond ring that was very precious to me.
Having worked myself into a flap, your on duty housekeeper arrived to help/search/reassure and generally feel my pain. I found the ring eventually and didn't have time to seek her out personally to thank her.
The thing that struck me is that she genuinely cared. I stay in lots of hotels through my line of work and can't say I find that many folk that care. Generally I’m left in no doubt that they see it purely as a job and that i come as part of their day to day angst. Your housekeeper wasn't of that ilk at all.
I'm sorry I don't know her name but I guess it won't be that difficult for you to track her down. Can I ask that you pass on my thanks for her empathy and concern at a time when I needed it. Very much appreciated.
She is a credit to you so look after her well.
Great customer service, beautiful surroundings and worth every penny. Great room - attention to detail - both our meals and breakfast were extremely high quality - and the staff and the grounds make this a sumptuous place to spend time. I imagine we will be back soon. Thanks again

I wanted to let you know what a fabulous dinner, bed & breakfast I enjoyed with my family at West Lodge Park last Friday. We had a fabulous stay and lovely family get-together. My husband and I were in room 8 which is my favourite room to date at WLP – it was lovely opening the door to classical music playing and I love the character of the room and great view over the garden.
The restaurant was buzzing in the evening and we had a really lovely meal, looked after so well by Miklos and Matthew. I had the asparagus to start and chicken main – both dishes were delicious. Everyone really enjoyed their meal - all compliments to the Chef. Afterwards we enjoyed brandy (warmed in the glass) and coffee in the bar.
Belinda and Monique looked after us at breakfast - It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay – a real treat!
