What a treat last night's Taittinger Gourmet Diner was. The guest speaker, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and rightly proud of the beautiful champagnes and wine which accompanied each exquisite course. The W.L.P kitchen never fails to surprise and delight me both in presentation and taste and it was our privilege that the Chefs came out and took a well deserved acclamation from the assembled guests.
A largely new group of youthful, charming and, as always, eager to please serving team made sure that everything ran smoothly in the dining room.
I must mention our pianist Paul, his elegant and timely set of James Bond tunes as we drank Bond's favourite Taittinger did not go unnoticed at the tables either, nice touch. Well done Paul.
I look forward to the next, then each and every forthcoming special event at your beautiful hotel.
I will jump straight in with praise for the last minute 'stand in' artists, Emily Ashmore and Adrian Boynton. They gave us an evening of exquisite musical delight. I do hope that they will feature in future W.L.P. events.
Christmas Dinner was impressive. I returned with a friend on Wednesday just to enjoy it once more. The Turkey ballotine is divine.
Thank you to everyone involved for creating the beautiful food, the waiters, ever helpful and thoughtful of our needs. A credit to yourself and the beautiful hotel
We have been to many events in the West Lodge Park and always enjoyed them, and the 2018 Christmas Concert dinner was also very enjoyable. An extremely nice evening - thank you.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Bordeaux gourmet evening, the food was excellent and the talk about the history of the wines that were paired with each course was very interesting.
Last Friday's 'Murder Mystery Evening', at WLP was really good fun. The skilled and resourceful troupe of Actors kept us engaged the whole time. Then with serious discussions on the progress of our investigations taking place at every table, only interrupted as each beautiful and delicious course of the meal was placed before us with true WLP style, then we returned to the plot. I didn't spot the correct culprit by the way.
I have to say a word about how pretty the room looked when we walked in. As always nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff. I went home tired and happy and delightfully confused about the plot.
Looking forward to 'The Schumanns' the next concert dinner and in just a few weeks time.
