This is the first opportunity that has arisen for me to be able to write to you regarding the Concert Dinner of Friday last featuring the divine 'London Harp Quartet'.
It was a perfect example of such evenings at West Lodge Park, from the faultless meal and service, nothing is ever too much trouble to please your guests and loathe though I am to highlight any one course of the dinner my weakness for outstanding desserts means that the exquisite 'Blood orange cheesecake with an orange crisp', which brought sighs of satisfaction from around the table has this one.
I hardly know where to start with the chamber music other than to describe it as glorious, the beautiful instruments so perfectly and elegantly played by the four most charming young ladies, who were happy to join us for coffee and talk about the music, their precious instruments and their devotion to pleasing the audience.
Which they did and I think that we all returned home happier for the experience, I certainly did.
Thank you and all concerned for such a delightful evening, I look forward to many more.
