This is the third or fourth time I've enjoyed dinner in The Mary Beale Restaurant in the past year. Each time has been as good as the last proving that the standards are consistently high and one visit wasn't just a fluke. With as much modesty as I can muster, I have to say I've eaten in some of the finest hotels and restaurants across Europe and elsewhere so my judgement of The Mary Beale Restaurant is set against the background of really knowing what is good and what is not. It's hard to identify any single aspect worthy of special note, but that's only difficult as so much is good. Your excellent, charming and professional head waiter (from Cyprus I believe), the atmosphere in the room, the wonderful garden views from the windows, the waiting team, the cooking and presentation of dinner. But in truth, it's never just one thing that makes a restaurant great. It's always a combination of elements that come together to create the impression and that's is what's been achieved here at a price point that is spot on.
