Delight in our celebrated Mary Beale restaurant, nestled within our beautiful hotel, for an afternoon tea fit for royalty.
Afternoon Tea is available from 2.00pm – 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 3.00pm – 5.00pm on Saturday and Sunday. We strongly recommend reserving a table.
Take your pick between Eilles loose-leaf tea or grade AA Kenyan cofee to elevate your experience.
Enjoy delicious sandwiches then indulge in a warm plain and fruit scones, accompanied by Devonshire clotted cream and Tiptree strawberry jam.
Satisfy your sweet tooth with a selection of homemade seasonal cakes, all part of this delightful experience. Vegan afternoon teas are also available.

Experience a Unique Afternoon Tea with Arboretum Tours
Join us for an extraordinary afternoon, where you’ll explore the 35-acre estate, home to over 800 tree species. Marvel at the stunning conifers, national collections of Hornbeams and Taxodiums, the new Catalpa collection, magnolia and holly beds, and the enchanting maple glade.
Your arboretum adventure kicks off at 2:30 pm in the front lounge, concluding at 4:00 pm. Choose to enjoy lunch before the tour or savour a traditional English Afternoon Tea following the tour, served at the Mary Beale Restaurant.
