Taste the sunshine at West Lodge Park this Summer

Here at the Mary Beale Restaurant at West Lodge Park, we embrace the essence of seasonality, which is beautifully reflected in our ever-changing menus. As fresh produce comes into season, Executive Chef Wayne Turner creates stunning dishes that highlights local ingredients, creating an impressive menu that perfectly captures the flavours of summer.

Launching in June, the new menus feature delicious, seasonal inspired dishes, alongside classic favourites.  Featuring starters like Burrata with rocket pesto, confit tomatoes, and sourdough nibs, as well as an avocado, chickpea, and chicory salad with chilli oil. The chef has created a menu brimming with the freshness of summer while reintroducing familiar favourites, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Diners can look forward to dishes such as grilled Cornish sole with saffron potatoes, samphire, and caper butter, and vegetarian delights like Monkfish Keralan curry inspired by traditional Kerala cuisine. Favourites, such as grilled lamb cutlets, remain a staple.

“With a nod to the great British summer, this menu has been created to complement the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of our restaurant,” says Andrew Beale, Managing Director at West Lodge Park Hotel. “This is undoubtedly one of the best and tastiest seasonal menus we’ve ever launched. The diverse selection of dishes will hopefully encourage guests to return time and time again.”

Chef Wayne Turner adds, “With summer here, we’ve taken the opportunity to refresh our menus, creating dishes that tease the taste buds and showcase the flavours of our region. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed lunch or an unforgettable dining experience, our talented team of chefs has meticulously redesigned our menus to perfectly suit the season.”

The restaurant has also introduced a new Summer Market Menu with 3 courses for just £29.00 or 2 courses for £25.00. Starting with warm ciabatta, Netherend Farm butter, cold-pressed rapeseed oil, and dukkha, followed by handpicked crab cakes with mango and chilli salsa, and corn-fed Chicken Milanese with rocket, parmesan, and truffle fries. Guests are invited to conclude their meal with a delicious crème brûlée accompanied by homemade shortbread.

Guests can unwind and enjoy their meals on the beautiful terrace, surrounded by 35 acres of gardens and an arboretum, or choose to dine in the highly acclaimed Mary Beale Restaurant for a comfortable and refined dining experience.
